Led Zeppelin - Stairway To Heaven

Hoy quiero hablarles de una canción que considero una de las mejores, si no la mejor del rock de todos los tiempos. Bueno, hay otras que pueden pelear ése puesto pero...ésta lo tiene TODO.

Compuesta por Jimmy Page y Robert Plant, es una balada preciosa que inicia con una melodía de flauta (duplicada en sobregrabación, e interpretada por John Paul Jones) que va cobrando progresivamente fuerza al añadir la sección rítmica para terminar de acelerar con toda la potencia de un solo impresionante de Page, uno de los mejores de la historia del rock. El sonido de una época y de una banda irrepetible.

La música es hermosa.La letra, un delirio; probablemente fruto de fumar demasiada hierba o vaya uno a saber qué cosas.Pero qué importa eso!

Demás está decir, para los que más o menos siguen mis ocurrencias, que "Stairway To Heaven" era otra de mis canciones de cuna. Y después, uno sale como sale!

La canción está incluída en Led Zeppelin IV (1971), un disco que es todo un clásico también por sus otras composiciones, pero "Stairway..." es... demasiado buena!
